Research Project 3: Reconceptualizing Creative Hub As A Sustainable Growth Model
In Malaysian Creative City Development
Commencement Date: April 2022 - June 2022
This is another participation of mine in a research project leaded by
Assoc. Prof. TPr Dr. Khoo Suet Leng
(School of Social Sciences, USM) as a research assistant.
The purpose of this study is to:
1. Re conceptualize the meaning of creative hubs
2. Assess the ways that creative hubs contribute to local creative community development
3. Identify the challenges and barriers to develop an inclusive creative hub as a model for
sustainable creative city development
From the participation in this study, I had gained more technical skills in utilizing SPSS, at the same time able to handle the data analysis and generate relevant charts and tables for the study.
Technical skills aside, I had more exposure on the significance roles of creative hub to the community in Penang. Thus, the findings of this study are expected to provide information about how creative hub members view the role, functionalities and contribution of the creative hub towards their personal growth and local creative community development.
